Essar WCAC Schools Cross-country Race Series
West Cheshire AC aims to encourage participation in cross-country by inviting primary and secondary schools within Chester, Ellesmere Port and Neston to participate in four rounds of informal races for girls and boys, years 3 to 8. All races are on Saturday mornings over a short, flat course at Stanney Oaks Leisure Centre, Stanney Lane, Ellesmere Port CH65 9DB.
Saturdays November 3 2012, December 1 2012, January 19 2013, February 2 2013
(1st race 10am). No charge.

Each participating school should provide an adult representative (e.g. teacher or parent) at each round to register and pick up their runners’ race numbers. The race number must be safety-pinned to the front of the runner's vest or t-shirt.
- Medals will be awarded to the first three finishers in each race
- The finishing positions of a school's first three runners will count towards the team score in each race
- A team's best three scores over the four rounds will count towards the team's overall finishing position
- A runner's best three finishing positions over the four races will count towards their overall score at the end of the series

Please note: due to the cancellation of the January 19 2013 fixture, final standings are based on runners' and teams' best two scores over the three rounds that went ahead.
